I keep hearing that shorebird season is winding down, but apparently I have not gotten the memo because that, is all I keep looking for and finding. Here is one that I photographed this morning.
I was there so I won't cheat and tell. But I will say that after you left and I headed up north that a Clapper Rail apparently walked out of the reeds directly in front of the other photographer. He showed me the images he got from about 12 feet and, man, it's just not fair...
Hi Corey - I was there when the Clapper Rail appeared. It was over to the left of the guy was on the flats, so he was able to key in on it. Not surprised that he got good shots of it. Too bad I had to leave early, we could have birded the pond. Glad you got the Baird's. Hope you are tracking the storm - wishing for something good to show up.

Nice shot of a short-billed dowitcher.

@Hilke Breder - Thank you for taking a shot at the ID. Try again :)
Bill looks too short for a Dowitcher. Stilt SP?
I spent some time looking at photos in "The Shorebird Guide" and settled on Stilt Sandpiper. ??
@Chris E and Debbie - Excellent work! It is a Stilt Sandpiper.
