Early this morning, I found another
American Avocet (Recurvirostra americana) on the East Pond at
Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. This one was not as brightly colored as the one
I found on July 16th, but it still retains some faded/worn breeding plumage. The photos were digiscoped in poor lighting conditions and heavily cropped.
