White-winged Dove at Jones Beach LI...

I will have more on this find later.  Here is a photo of the White-winged Dove that Doug Futuyma and I found today at the Coast Guard Station Jones Beach LI.  When we left, it had relocated, but re-found by Tom Burke in the bushes in the dunes across/behind the parking lot.

Tell it to fly to Queens, would you?

Great capture of the White-winged Dove Andrew!

Great shot, Andrew. Believe it or not, we have one of these up here in central Alberta. He managed to overwinter with the help of some caring people, and is now mating with a Eurasian Collared Dove, who shouldn't be here either.

@Corey - now that would be nice; especially if I find it ;)

@PatB - Well Mom, it might be time for your son to come a visiting or maybe I'll just wait for "Great Grays" and then plan my visit :)
