Re: July 4th Post - Species Revealed...

Okay, so here we go - The following applies to my post on July 4th where I asked readers to take a shot at identifying the shorebirds in the photos.  Here is the answer.  There are 4 species of Shorebirds in the photo.  Willet (Catoptrophorus semipalmatus), Short-billed Dowitcher (Limnodromus griseus), Black-belied Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) and Red Knot (Calidris canutus). Check your answers at home.  By the way, notice I did not list the birds in any order or indicate whether from left to right.  You have to figure that out.  You did not think I was going to make this that easy did you? :) Here is the photo again as a reminder.
